Still-Life in Oils with Isabella Allis
In this 4 week oil painting course, you will learn techniques including how to use oil painting materials (e.g. brushes and palette knives), surface preparation, tonal under painting, colour mixing, using medium, brush strokes and blending, glazing as well as clean up and drying times. You will then apply these techniques by painting a Still Life. We will begin this painting using the “pick-out” method, a colour block-in, and build up to greater realism and detail in the upper layers using dry brushing and glazing techniques.
