Most people think colour pencil art is the “colouring in” we did as children. In fact, it involves much, much more as you will learn in Laura’s One-Day Colour Pencil Workshop.

Let Laura introduce you to the joy of this rewarding medium by teaching you the true techniques of laying down colour to create beautiful realistic artworks.

We will cover two different subjects, one smooth and one textured, to understand different techniques. Your subjects will be provided drawn up ready to focus on learning colour pencil.

What is covered:
– The main techniques of coloured pencil – layering, blending and burnishing
– How to draw accurately and in a realistic way
– How to know which colours to use
– How to draw different textures
– Learn about different materials and tools
– Receive hands on help in a fun, small group environment

What to bring:
– Eraser
– Pencil Sharpener
– Set of 24 Colour Pencils. I highly recommend Prismacolor Premier as the subjects chosen for the workshop are selected based on these pencils. Faber Castell Polychromos 24 Set is also a great option. These can be purchased from Shore Studio Art Supplies.
