Self-Portrait in Pastel.

Be guided through the process of creating a compelling pastel self portrait in clearly explained, achievable steps.

David will cover generating reference material, composition, likeness and over all feel, to help each student create a unique original artwork.
Participants will be taken through the basics of photography and image selection in a 1 on 1 photo shoot, then guided through the process of composing and preliminary drawing, before executing the work over the 2 days of the weekend.

Students will employ blending, layering and scumbling techniques to create individual artworks and explore personal expression, within a carefully structured class.

Attendees to bring along the following materials:

A laptop computer if you have one. (Can be worked around if necessary)

A tablet or Ipad if you have one. (Can be worked around if necessary)
