This introductory set of 5x weekly classes in Watercolour Portraits Part 1 will provide you with a good foundation for planning and practicing techniques and skills.

Some knowledge of how a portrait is drawn will help with understanding the face, yet reference images will be used and provided to save time to focus on the application of watercolour.

We will be looking at using a monochromatic approach in total values to break down the main features of the face before applying to a full face painting.

This is primarily for beginners with some introductory experience with watercolour yet open to anyone else willing to learn more.

A note to anyone who is considering repeating this class from 2025, it has been expanded and we will be using new reference images to work with.

Individuals will need to bring their own materials.

An art materials list will be provided upon enrolment, and can be purchased from Shore Studio Art Supplies.
