In this 4 week introduction to oil painting course for complete beginners or those who would like a refresher, you will learn oil painting techniques including how to use oil painting materials (e.g. brushes and palette knives), surface preparation, transfer the drawing onto canvas, the colour wheel and colour mixing, working with tones to create form, using medium, brush strokes and blending, and refining with glazing and dry brushing. The focus of this course will be on learning oil painting techniques, so Isabella will provide a drawing for you to transfer onto your canvas. The set drawing will be designed for you to apply all the fundamentals that we will be learning and for you to use as a reference when working on your own artwork.
