Join Master Pastellist and Seascape Artist Tricia Taylor in this Two-day weekend workshop. Enjoy capturing the movement of waves and the play of light on sand.
The joy of the coast that we live near! How to let yourself go and find expression in painting the ocean.
Day 1 – Focus on how a waves rise and turn. How to find the movement and flow of the water and how to get that crystal glow that we love so much.
Day 2 – Underpainting with watercolour is one of Tricia’s favourite ways to combine waves and sand and rocks on a shoreline. On day two you will be playing with a variety of techniques to paint coastlines.

All skill levels welcome.

MATERIALS LIST
Paper – Art spectrum Colourfix
1 x A3 x sheet storm Blue (or 1⁄2 sheet size) 1 x A3 x sheet Terracotta (or 1⁄2 sheet size) 2 x A3 x sheet White (or 1⁄2 sheet size)

Pastels: Bring whatever you have. A 60 set with a variety of warm and cool tones would be a minimum.
Kneadable eraser
Old paint brush to remove pastel
Set of watercolours – if you do not have any you can use your tutors.
A few old brushes around 1” to do watercolour underpainting.
Apron (optional)
Disposable gloves (optional)
Wet wipes

Reference – Tutor will supply references. If you have references you would like to work on feel free to bring along.
