     July 8, 2023 - July 9, 2023
     9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Join artist Manuela Pilz (TAS) in this 2-day weekend workshop and explore a fun way to draw the figure and portrait with a costumed model in a long pose.
With step-by-step demonstrations each day, participants will have the opportunity to learn about how to draw a head from many different angles, consider how to compose your portrait on the page, deal with the light and how it hits both the head and the clothing of the upper body, and learn how to draw features of the face. This will all be done with black and white charcoal on toned paper to get dramatic and fast results.
Do not worry if you have never drawn a person from life before as Manuela has designed a programme that helps practice the key skills in the morning before the model arrives. You will be working from photos in the morning and from the model in the afternoon.
