     June 25, 2022 - June 26, 2022
     9:30 am - 4:00 pm
“The skull has had a place in the history of art since the earliest dawning of human expression, as a reminder to appreciate the gift of life.” Noah Scalin.

Charcoal is the world’s most ancient art material and for this reason suited to drawing such a primeval subject. Charcoal is an amazingly expressive and versatile material.
In this workshop you’ll be  experimenting with different types of charcoal such as charcoal powder, a variety of soft and hard charcoal both black and white and this will be combined with water, acrylic and inks
You’ll be drawing on large A2 sheets of highly textured pastel paper on an easel and using Manuela’s tips to observe and measure an animal skull from a photo reference.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced.

“The skull is nature’s sculpture.”  David Bailey.
